| Community Bankers of California (CBC) is a nonprofit, voluntary association of California community banks and companies that serve the sector. Our mission is to advance community banking in California, providing a forum for the state's community bankers through peer involvement and information exchange.

| CBC was originally founded nearly 50 years ago as the Southern California Independent Bankers Association. Association membership has grown since to over 100 participating institutions and related service companies. In July 1998, a merger took place between the Southern California association and the Northern California association to form today's CBC.
